Choosing the right fit for your swimsuit

Our swimwear is designed for movement and may feel snug when dry: this helps it stay secure and comfortable once you’re in the water.

What size am I?

Finding the right swimsuit size online doesn’t have to be tricky. We’re here to help make the process simple and stress-free.

All you’ll need is a soft measuring tape and a couple of minutes. Use the guide below to find the size that will feel comfortable, supportive, and stay put once you’re in the water.

Our swimwear is designed to fit snug on land and perfect in the water, so don’t worry if it feels a little firm when dry: that’s exactly how it should be.

  • All sizes are in cm.

How to measure yourself

Using a dressmaker’s tape, measure the following areas. Make sure the tape sits flat against your body without digging in.

  1. Bust: Measure around the fullest part of your bust, keeping the tape level across your back and under your arms.
  2. Underbust: Measure around your ribcage, just underneath your bust.
  3. Waist: Measure around the narrowest part of your waist. Relax, don’t hold your breath or pull the tape too tight.
  4. Hips: Measure around the widest part of your hips and bum.

Choosing your size

Our swimsuits are generally true to size.

  • If your measurements fall within one size, choose that size.
  • If you’re between two sizes, we recommend choosing the smaller size for the best stay-put fit.
  • If you prefer a slightly more relaxed feel, or are unsure, sizing up can also work: it comes down to personal comfort.

All Tamara™ suits are made with high-quality, four-way stretch fabric and will relax slightly once wet.
